Welcome to "My Favorite Things" page!  It is, essentially, a free-format sharing of the people, places and things that I have experienced in my life and want to share with others...because they had such a positive impact on me.  Enjoy!

People
Brene Brown is an inspirational writer and speaker who encourages us to embrace our shadow as a way to unravel self-shame and cultivate positive self-regard.  Her website is zowie!  Yes, that's a word...I made it up today.  Please feel free to use it to describe anything that rocks your socks and inspires you to be your authentically best self!

Miriam Greenspam is another soul-sister who recognizes the critical need to honour the dark places within us and the painful emotions that we tend to try and push away or deny...or project.  Almost every page of her book "Healing Through the Dark Emotions:  the wisdom of grief, fear and despair" resonated so deeply with me, I probably should have just highlighted what I didn't agree with...rather than colouring every paragraph of every page with a variety of highlighters and exclamations of "YES!"  I highly recommend reading this book if you are even remotely serious about personal healing and physical, emotional and mental well-being.

Groups/Organizations
The Living Centre is an eco-spiritual education centre and sanctuary located in the countryside minutes outside of London, Ontario.  Owned and operated by Shantree and Lorenna Kacera, this place is the real deal if you want to learn about sustainable living and perma-culture.  Simply walking around on the property is magical in and of itself and when you meet Lorenna and Shantree, you feel like you've been transported to a place that resembles how the world could be if enough people were aware and cared about the Earth.

Places and Spaces
Zen Gardens, in London, ON, Canada is possibly the most enjoyable vegan dining experience I've had.  Not just because of the menu (my favorite item is the Tom Yum Vermicelli Soup...gosh, I love experiencing that) but also because the staff are truly dedicated to making your meal experience enjoyable and memorable.  I've had some great philosophical conversations with the staff on a number of occasions and look forward to many more!
