"Gentle Yoga"

Whether you are injured, healing from a recent surgery, have developed a chronic condition that limits your mobility, or are experiencing depleted energy, yoga can still be within your reach!  Our bodies and spirits need tender loving care when we are injured or healing from surgery; however, once we have moved past the acute stage of trauma, the body still needs to move in order to sustain our physical wellbeing. 
 


​Gentle Yoga supports you in your journey back to physical, emotional and mental well-being by offering a low-impact style of yoga that often includes the use of chairs and assorted yoga props, such as bolsters, blankets, blocks and straps to support your body as you explore the practice SAFELY.  Students will learn about how their bodies are designed to move and develop a personal practice that honours this innate design.  Every student is encouraged to customize their practice to meet their own personal needs…which may look very different from their fellow yogis.  Gentle Yoga reinforces mobility and strength, while offering restorative and rejuvenating postures, breathing and meditation practices.
